Silvan Beach in Houston Texas

Today was such a fun day at the beach. The weather was perfect and it was overcast. Mom totally enjoyed herself. We enjoyed our last day with Grammie. We stayed in a hotel in Houston because we had to have her to the airport about 5 a.m. The airport is about 3 1/2 hours from our house.  We may need some cheer classes! lol All these jumps and trying to catch them in a photo was quite the trick.

Today was so special! We got to go to the Temple with Andi for her first time to do Baptisim's for the dead. Bryan got to baptize her for her 10 names that she got to do. Lacey Ross sent almost 100 of her family names to be done. Lacey's niece's came with us. It was so neat sitting in the font room and listening to the Temple President speak to the youth. He told them how proud he was of them for getting a recommend and being worthy to be there. He talked about the people that they would be doing the work for and how excited they must be. He also talked about when we die that those people that they baptize will be there to greet us and tell us thank you. The spirit was so strong. There is nothing more exciting than to watch my children get excited about the Gospel. Andalin has looked forward to doing baptisms for the dead for quite a while. She just kept grinning and I knew that she felt the spirit as well!

AdriAnn's 5th Birthday!

Today we celebrated AdriAnn's 5th birthday! We celebrated on the 3rd because we knew that we would be gone on the 5th to the Dallas Temple.

Bryan always makes up a scavenger hunt for the girls to find their gifts. They look forward to this. I always do their cakes! AdriAnn chose Rupunzel this year. It was so great to have Grammy here for her birthday as well.

Alacia's Baptism

Wow so much has happened in a year! My goal is to blog everyday for awhile to get caught up..... This last week has been a special one. Grammie Kaye came for the week so she could be here for Alacia's Baptism. So there will be lots of pictures to upload.

June 19, 2014, I took Alacia's pictures downtown at the Court House and a park close by. It is a tradition that I have done with all the girls when they turn 8. Ashlynn and Andalin were at Girl's Camp and Alee went to VBS with a friend. Bryan painted Adri's nails while I painted Alacia's. We tried to make it special:) After doing pictures we ordered invitations so that we could send them to our family out of town and some friends here in town that don't attend our church. Jan Myer's made up the program's for the Baptism and they turned out so awesome.

Alee's 3rd Grade Track Meet!

Today has already been eventful. Adri and I went to Alee's Track Meet. She got first in her heat and then 3rd over all. You can tell in the pictures that she had a lot of fun! I left for a little while to go get Bryan and feed him lunch. He got to see her do the softball throw. I love watching my kids succeed. I guess that is how the Lord feels when we do what we are supposed to and succeed here on earth. The Lord has a perfect plan for us. We are going at 6:00 p.m. to see Ash receive an award. I have been so pleased to watch the girls get involved and make the best of it here in Texas. Like conference mentioned, it really doesn't matter where we live, it is just important that we are teaching our children in the home. We are surely trying!
